COMNAVSPECWAR is butthurt and trying to make an example out of Gallagher. This is beyond the norm what he's trying to do.

There is no chance in hell that Gallagher ever gets back on a team. It is pretty unlikely he will ever get invited to an official event again. Too much transpired.
The easy answer is to have him retire and go away. But SEALs are not accustomed to looking for easy answers.

This is a very normal outcome. Soldiers are stripped of their Ranger tabs, SF tabs, and Tomb Guard tabs when they to have dishonored those awards. In fact, you can go into the Tomb Guard personnel area and see a plate with a name for every single tomb guard badge ever awarded, and empty spaces where the badge was revoked and the name was removed from the wall.

I haven't been to 3d Inf Regt HQ in a long time, but it used to be that they left the name plates up for those who had their Honor Guard Badge revoked... with the names visible with "X's" striking through the name.

1SG (Join to see) that's exactly what I'm referring to. I never went to the HQ but they have the same exact thing in the area where the Tomb guards wait between shifts
