If anyone was worried about this, it wasn't a problem. Given the closeness of the results, the request to recanvass was reasonable. The recanvass results came in and were accepted. No problem.

My understanding is that a lot of Kentuckians - Republicans and Democrats alike - couldn't stand this guy.
