The rest of us have to do something or we'll end up like the Soviet Union. In the Soviet Union, workers pretended to work and the state pretended to pay them. Our public sector workers are living in a microcosm of that scenario and won't accept that it will end badly. They fully expect We the People to bail them out while We will retire on a pittance or work until we reach the grave (if we can afford the cost of burial).
