Better than the F35 taking over CAS? No dwell time, no ammo 250 vs 1350 rounds of 25mm vs 30mm and no ordnance nor ability to take 5.56, 7.62, 12.7 nor 23mm rounds!
everyone talks about the F-35 being able to hit and adversaries plane that's outside of range but what if they have four to one ratio and 1/4 of their planes get through? The F-35 will not be able to engage in a dogfight while the F-15 will!

This is a good thing. Especially since the Obama admin gave the F-22 program the axe well before we acquired all of the aircraft we needed. That left us with an aging fleet of F-15s whose time is growing short.
