I am glad the courts are stepping in instead of both parties attacking each other. I am making a strong assumption that Trump's tax documents will show anomalies.

Sorry Judge. Sometimes just because something is legal doesn't make it right. Both Clinton and Nixon were treated better.

Lt Col Charlie Brown: The independent prosecutor system which was used in both Nixon and Clinton's impeachment are no longer in effect unless the House resurrects that law. As far as both Nixon's and Clinton's impeachment inquiry there were several depositions which were taken without the public/press being allowed into the deposition. This is normal procedural rules. I suppose under your theory all police investigations and grand jury proceedings should be open to the public to review the records, etc. within a matter of days after the report is written.

You have an excellent point that nobody fails to grasp. Regardless of who did what, the office of the President was still treated with respect. Today, Democrats don't seem to care about any of that and are working to unseat this man - largely due to the fact that they lost pure and simple. My opinion but looking at how President Trump has been treated since Jan 20th 2017, I would be pretty upset as well as they seem to undermine him and the rest of the GOP at every turn. The Constitution does grant the House of Representatives the sole power to impeach but it's the entire House, not just the political party at the forefront of this whole thing.

CW3 Michael Bodnar - The POTUS has done a lot to invite that treatment, both in his personal conduct unbecoming and general actions bringing dishonor on the office. He doesn't respect his office, the people in Congress, the people who work for him, nor the judiciary. When faced with such an individual it is hard to deal with them normally.

Good lord. If that’s what’s you're standing on, it’s at least fair to point out that the office of the President was usually respectful of others.

Trump is a threat to our democracy as he is doing a great job of tearing it up. Any president who can not live within the constructs of the constitution is thereby attacking it.
