Evidently, neither the author nor the WaPo editors took the time to research which party has the established track record as the party of war. Since WWII, there have been 6 Dem and 7 Republican presidents. The only Dem who did NOT start a war or initiate a major military action was Carter. Dem presidents dropped the atomic bomb, brought us into the Korean War, authorized Bay of Pigs invasion, brought us into the Vietnam War, initiated Bosnia, Kosovo, Libya, and Syria actions. Republican presidents negotiated the end of the Korean War, ended US involvement in Vietnam, ended the Cold War, initiated Gulf War and Panama actions, initiated the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and ended Syria actions.

They are also the party that endorsed slavery but claim to be for equal rights. Politicians have never let facts and history stand in the way of their claims

Thank you, my friend Col Joseph Lenertz for posting. I stopped trusting the Washington Compost a long time ago. If they are weighing in to alert the democrats, it is an indication that a civil war is fomenting within the democratic party.
