Who knows what they were up to since they had no military affiliation. They could have been testing security response, going to blow something up or after someone on base, or could have just been drunk...either way the barriers worked and they must have been hauling boogie for them to have hit that barrier hard enough to die. Bottom line is that they are dead because they didn't follow simple instructions.

Or they could have been drunks like we had a few years ago, same result though.

Those barriers worked as advertised. It matters not the reason the individuals blew past the gate guards; they did the correct thing and activated the barrier. I remember seeing those things in action when they were testing them a few years back. They are not something I would want to slam into.

Those gate guards would have been toast if they hadn't activated the barrier. They responded exactly as they should have.
