I found this out after returning from vacation to the Midwest. I had worn a sidearm into a men’s clothing store and bought a nice set off clothes for church services .. I used my credit card and paid and took my package and left.. a month later after I got home a sensitive employee had filed a complaint that my weapon made him uncomfortable...(yet the street thugs did not ..). I was sent a $300 citation in the mail and I could pay by credit card . I had 30 days to answer. My thinking was I had not returned from vacation and was granted a longer grace period. I chose to avail myself of a legal service provided by a 2d amendment association ... They successfully negotiated my fine to $25 and change and $40 court cost.. was my legal trouble over? Not by a long shot. see, if I had paid the full fine, the plaintiff would have received 50% of that $300 and the court the rest.. So now the plaintiff reinitiated damage to his snowflake sensitivity suit but he wanted $5,000 !
My association lawyer told him to go fornicate himself ... the plaintiff took that it came from me and added another $5,000 for insinuating he should have sex
With his own self .. and I was responsible for the attorney’s comment.. and I needed to appear in 5 days. Yeah right ! I didn’t go.. no warrant.. they just got my credit rating junked for non payment of a debt. It seemed the plaintiff was happy with that outcome.. I had never used my card for that fine.. my 2d amendment lawyer got me out of the junking because he said it was tied to my first law case and his telling the plaintiff off not his client..
Anyway I got my card reinstated and still hadn’t gone back to rectify the that lawsuit .. I just will not travel in that state
Or any that would do reciprocity with it to collect on a stupid lawsuit and share a %-
Tage with it.. frigging Iowa is the state.
Michigan said they would not reciprocate so I’m safe in my own home state .. so far.
Of course we got a new gay favoring governor so that could change..
