I gave up and got global entry. Doing a lot international travel now and waiting to be groped is time consuming, plus somewhat offensive. I know that’s their job, but the government spent over two years doing a background check on me for my TS with SCI.

They didn’t do it up to 2007 (when I retired). It might have been implemented afterwards . This is the first I’ve heard of it, so I posted the article.

I am also unclear on this. When I was active and in uniform traveling with others in my unit (in civilian airports), it did seem like we were processed quickly (particularly for international flights). I assume that may not have been an official stance back then? Perhaps it was up to the discretion of individual airports? At least there are quietly enforced official guidelines now.
