Lt Col Charlie Brown - When one takes the emotion out of the guns or no guns issue, it is perfectly clear that if our government decided to confiscate citizens' guns, then the only ones to have guns would be the criminals as they do not follow the laws on the books anyway... Crime would escalate at an exponential rate, and injuries and killings of innocent people would be much, much higher... If that was not enough, citizens would not be able to defend themselves from those who would harm us and that includes the government... One only needs to remember or read about what happened when Adolph Hitler was elected Chancellor of Germany and what happened during his reign of terror when guns were confiscated, Jews incarcerated en masse and fed to...well you all know what happened to some 6 million Jews... Need I go on folks... That is why our forefathers had the insight to include the 2nd Amendment to our Constitution... We must preserve that Amendment at all costs or suffer the consequences... Okay, I will get off my soap box folks...
