I haven't gone for the handgun optics...doesn't make much sense to me outside of competitive shooting. I do run a reflexive sight on my rifle, and have mixed feelings about it. The Aimpoint that we had issued on the M4 was an outstanding piece of gear...but that's a major investment for most of us. My reflexive sight fell in at the $100 cost range, and works alright enough inside of 100 yrds. However, on a very sunny day, I get "splash", and I have to recheck "zero" about every 200 rounds or so. I co-witness with the standard "A2" front sight post, and run a Magpul back-up rear sight, and frankly, wouldn't trust the reflexive sight alone over fifty yards. Been seriously thinking about one or two of the models here in this article...

I have a couple red dots but none on handguns. That seems to be the current rage.
