Remember their contributions to the war effort and thank them greatly for their service.

There was a Navajo nurse onboard the Comfort when we were loaded with wounded. I always wanted to spend some time with her, but we were so busy. WW2 nurses introduced the 12 hour shift to the medical world. When you went off duty you headed to the wardroom and then your stateroom for rest and the next thing you know, you were doing it all over again.

This is a wonderful and important tribute to those who contributed so much to winning WW2.
