I have to say, I'm dating a girl in Brampton, ON, and the Indian community there is massive. It feels weird being the slim minority there (like 90% of the population is Indian), but I never had any issues at all in that area. Everybody is always very polite. It definitely is different, but not in a bad way, just takes some getting used to. I guess change just scares people sometimes.

SPC Angela Burnham - You had no problems or issues. Nor would many people. But not all cultures easily accept the trans gender topic as other cultures.

PO3 (Join to see) - I'm aware, but Indian people seem to just not care about the topic. Used to work for an Indian family years ago in the states, and they never took issue with it either. I know Muslim immigrants are different, though the most hostile encounter I ever had was with an Orthodox Jewish family from Israel, by far. Go figure.

Yes, people with mental health issues will do crazy things. This person appears to be working to become the poster child for mental health issues.
