Thank you, my friend SFC William Farrell for sharing the weird news that Mexican "Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard promised Mexico City will act" in response to the mass murder in the Walmart at the Cielo Vista Mall because "at least six [of the 20 killed] were Mexican citizens" and at least 9 of the 26 injured in the attack were Mexican citizens 'Ebrard called Saturday's shooting an “act of barbarism.”'
I expect the Mexican government will go through diplomatic channels in this instance.
It would be wonderful if Mexico demands the repatriation of all Mexican Nationals to Mexico, including children so as not to separate families. Perhaps all illegals in Mexico could be sent back from California, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas as a start.
"Of the 26 injured in the attack, at least nine were Mexican nationals, according to the government.
El Paso, America's 22nd-largest city with an estimated population of 682,669, is more than 80 percent Hispanic or Latino, according to U.S. census data. El Paso sits just across the Rio Grande from Ciudad Juárez, which has a population of 1.3 million.
The shooter appears to have been targeting Hispanics and authorities are investigating it as a hate crime. A 21-year-old Texas man was in custody."
Per Fox News
"The president of the Republic has instructed me so that this posture and indignation from Mexico is translated, first in protecting affected families, and then in legal actions, efficient and prompt, quick and convincing so that Mexico can demand the conditions to protect to the Mexican-American community and Mexicans in the United States," [Foreign Minister Marcelo] Ebrard said.
"Ebrard said five of the Mexican citizens killed were: Sara Regalado, Adolfo Cerros Hernandez, Jorge Calvillo Garcia, Elsa Mendoza de la Mora, and Gloria Irma Marquez. The sixth victim has not been identified.
El Paso, home to 680,000 residents, sits across the southern border from Cuidad Juarez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua.
The gunman, Patrick Crusius, 21, of Allen, Texas, was charged with capital murder. Investigators are looking into a manifesto they believe he wrote that could be a "nexus to a hate crime."

SSgt Christopher Brose - Really? why are most states getting rid of the EC Democrats win the majority? Trump thinks he can win a majority, but to win one liberal, will cost 100 current Trump supporters.

Sgt Will Paige - "Most states" are not "getting rid of the EC." The only states that are trying to circumvent the Electoral College tilt left. And like most leftists, they're simply ignoring the Constitution of the United States in the areas they find inconvenient, which is most of them. I doubt such measures will survive legal challenge (although it would be incredibly amusing to see all those states be forced to compel their Electoral College voters to cast their ballots for Trump because of laws they presumed would have the opposite effect.)

Sgt Will Paige - “getting rid of the Electoral College”? You mean the device that the Founding Fathers put in place to prevent the cities from controlling everything? The device that worked EXACTLY as designed in 2016? The one that is part of the fabric of our country?
I paid attention in the fourth grade during government class, it’s too bad that so many people in positions of power don’t remember how our country is set up, and in their irresponsible behavior causes people to think that what these highly placed misguided individuals say is real, is somehow “truth”. The “but the popular vote” cries simply out the complainer as a less than complete individual, one who refuses to understand how we live.
It’s simple pandering to the lowest common denominator, people who didn’t pay attention in grade school, as it will never happen and the elite knows it.
What I find very concerning is that one of the major political parties put forth a candidate that doesn’t understand the Electoral College, so ran as though the popular vote counted. To add to that, they admitted that they didn’t know what everyone else knows, and yet people still support them.

Very interesting. Maybe we should take legal action against them for failing to protect our citizens who vacation in his country. I'm just curious as to the legal grounds he thinks he has.
