Compare that to an unknown number of "invisible" defenders, indistinguishable from the helpless unarmed victims the mass-murderer wishes to kill with impunity.
Let those homicidal maniacs wonder and worry about those tigers that they cannot see, the armed citizens among the "designated victims" who will refuse to be victims.
