Here's a story about the much ballyhooed Congressional visit to a border detention facility that you probably have not heard about. Despite AOC and others quailing about drinking from toilets and other horrors, when presented an opportunity to actually help, they claimed they didn't have time to break away from their photo op, and promised to send others to help with the task... and didn't.

It's all about photo ops. They stand on one side of the fence and wave at people on the other.

I know these are politicians and much of this should not be surprising, but after the made for TV show of faux outrage, I have to say that they've sunk to a new low.

It is not in the perceived self interest of democracy politicians to give Trump a win and help improve the border situation. They would rather swamp the system in hopes that it would completely fail and achieve unrestricted immigration.
