PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - I have mixed emotions about this kind of a story... On one hand it is a great way to show the heroism of those who sacrificed for our Freedom and on the other, a sad representation of only a few of those who died for their Country in an unfavorable war...

The most despised, detested, and protested conflict ever! I served as an ER medic from 1969 to 1973.

Those who served in and during the Vietnam Conflict were betrayed by 5 C-inC's. We lost over 60,000 comrades. BTW, 66,000 women also served, and some were killed. What a waste of humanity when you also consider that more civilians were killed than combatants combined. And, indeed we killed women, children, and the aged. This is what really haunts the vets I provide clinical consultation to. Combat should be the last resort.
