Someone correct me if I'm wrong please, but isin't already against the law to burn the American flag? It's just not enforced.

SGT (Join to see) The courts have ruled that it is unconstitutional to make laws that ban US flag burning.

SGT (Join to see) They DO understand that. They are exercising their right to free speech by protesting again the government. The flag doesn't just represent speech, it represents the government, and there is plenty to protest in that regard.

Can't argue with you there...lol. It's just sad that some feel they have to destroy or desecrate something to express their views or complaints.

Burning the flag is protected free speech, however, if someone comes by and unloads the entire content of a 30lb dry chem fire extinguisher on it, in the interests of public safety to prevent the fire from spreading, I am ok with that too... wounldn’t want anyone to get injured by the fire...
