After reading the OP-Ed by Linda Fairstein I was disgusted. I get it, she, investigators and the actual prosecutor used the fact they confessed to actual crimes they committed that night in the park to pin the rape on them as well even though they didn’t have the evidence to support it. It was guilt by proximity. It was racial bias and tunnel vision that caused the investigators to ignore the facts and expand their search.
This woman shows no remorse knowing her task force pinned a crime on five young men which they didn’t commit only because they were guilty of assault and robbery in another case.
