The longer I carry, the less I like a manual safety. A good holster "should" prevent clothes and other objects from inadvertently engaging the trigger...and good habits and practice should keep the finger off of it till ready to fire. I don't have any "facts" to base this feeling on...but I'm actually slightly more "concerned" about a weapon with an installed manual safety, than one without, because at least I know the latter is designed to be carried without it.

But why ? Where is the manual safety on the Smith and Wesson Model 10 revolver? Best saftey: keep the booger hook off the bang switch.
