Trying to frame an elected president isn’t political opposition.

LTC David Brown - Agree on Brennan. Brennan advised Obama on foreign policy. Not surprisingly Obama is considered a foreign policy disaster not just by political pundits but by foreign policy professionals. Seems as well that Brennan's career has been surrounded by intel failures. History is telling - voting for Gus Hall, station chief in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, when the Khobar Towers were bombed, using a single-source intelligence report of a meeting in a Prague park between Atta and al Ani on WMD - starting the Iraq War, to Steele Dossier, to bad intel on Trump.

SPC David S. - thank you for sharing. The two countries trying for top dog in the Middle East are Saudi Arabia and Iran. Obama was trying to switch our Alliances from Saudi Arabia to Iran. Under Obama we knifed Saudi Arabia in the back. Saudi Arabia is not a great nation for freedom, human rights etc but at least we aren’t labeled the great Satan and people aren’t marching in the street screaming death to America when we pony up billions of dollars. Interesting and little reported that Saudi Arabia and Israel have developed an alliance against Iran.

Looks like MSNBC finally discovered the requirements for treason after accusing President Trump of treason repeatedly with other willing accomplices.

LTC David Brown - there's no indication that there was a lie in the affidavits, and reliance on a judicially issued search warrant is a defense to any misconduct claims towards the officers or agents involved. Second, the Steele dossier consisted of unverified intelligence reports and was labelled as such. Those can be used to obtain warrants, because the bar for showing probable cause is very low. All one has to show is that the information could lead a reasonable person to conclude that a crime MAY have been committed, and that a particular person or persons MIGHT have committed it. Third, a number of items contained in the dossier have subsequently been validated. Fourth, the Attorney General has no authority to rule on the validity of a search warrant. That can only be done by a court.

My point! We had national security experts, ex CIA Chiefs, even Lawrence Tribe implying if we consider cyber war war Trump committed treason and a host of talking heads calling Trump a traitor or having committed treason and nobody got so technical until Trump used the word. Well as the British would say “bugger off “ with your sanctimonious hypocrisy!

LTC David Brown - you're mistaken about Tribe's views. He's repeatedly said that it cannot be treason without an actual war--despite your attempt to twist his words in the Newsweek article to say something that they didn't mean. And like I have stated, those accusing Trump of treason are wrong too, not that this means that Trump hasn't committed other crimes, like obstruction of justice. Next, I've objected to the use of the charge of treason for years, and have said so on both sides.
