Socialist Promises

Truth SGT (Join to see) While I understand about people not starting in the same place, handouts rarely help people. That's not what they need.

I have seen too many people suffer because they get behind on their property tax. I begin saving for the next year the month after I pay, which is the day after I get the bill. The tax amount I pay would easily support a family of 4. This year I dutifully dropped my check in the mail and the next day one of the city's socialist councilmen announced the city would give free bus passes to the homeless initially costing tax payers $30,000. So much for my efforts to act responsibly.
The year before, the day after I paid, the city hired a pro cleaning company to clean graffiti off the underside of bridges. When they finished, it took less than a week for the artists to restore the graffiti. There are legitimate homeless people who could and would use our help effectively. But, the socialist approach is not the answer. The proof is in the fact homelessness is increasing not decreasing.

I suppose it would look bad since Bernie had a heart attack if someone were to take him down and stuff an old boot down his throat.
