I found it strange that during WWI the royals that had declared war on each other were still in contact with other and in more than one case traveled to visit the other royal (births & baptism if I remember my history teacher correctly). The way the Queen handled this (she was anti-Papist no doubt about it) was self-serving at the least, but not traitorous, Netherlands was neutral in both world wars, hence no voice on events, just Hitler wanted the deep water ports and occupied them anyway.

Unbelievable...wow...an overt example of why royalty should be been utterly abolished worldwide centuries ago, or, at the very least, decades, despite all the gods done by then in the UK, which I of course realize...such special classes of society inevitably lead to such thibgs, regardless of what goes some members of such classes do...that she could've even considered such a thing regardless of what might've happened otherwise was obviously totally reprehensible, and there's been that while thing I've read of about the Pope from then being denied sainthood because of stuff I'd read many times of his involvement as well, I've seen numerous websites on that many times, though if course thata,a totally separate matter....
