They should be drawn and quartered for what they did and put in general population...there is no excuse to defame any statue especially one with hate on your mind...it is just WRONG!!!
HOWEVER--This author is a little bit racist too in his remarks versus just telling the story. First off the author filed the report under " Filed to: WHITE PEOPLE DOING WHITE THINGS". What the heck does that have to do with the crime? What does that even mean? Would he have reported Justin Smollett under Black people doing white things??? Then he refers to the female as "McCorkle, whose rose-colored neck appears slightly inflamed in her mugshot." In other words a redneck...just call her the female in the mugshot...come on now...just report the news without all the colorful add ons...all that is doing is baiting IMHO.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth Yeah "The Root" is Most Definitely an Radical Afro-American Centric On-Line Magazine. I do Read it though and there is something to be said about some of the Points they bring up. Also I Came from a Mixed Community so My Perspective is Colored (I Know Bad Pun) by the Ethnic Communities I was adopted into as a Youngster and thru My Navy Career.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - They do make good points I just wish them as well as other news outlets stuck to facts and not rhetoric...seems to take away from the message being delivered.
