Capt Daniel Goodman
Yeah, OK, I could kinda see that as a sort of explanation...doesn't diminish the pure weirdo factor, though, at least to my way of thinking, ya think?

Capt Daniel Goodman On the farm in Ohio in 1945, ‘we’ wore rubber gum boots, aka ‘Wellingtons’ while doing farm chores.
Due to environmental factors, the boots were removed and left on the back porch before entering the house.
My 7 year old brother was quite a free spirit at the time. The two holer was maybe 30 paces from the back door.
One evening, my feet encountered water in my boots as I started to the pig pen! Little brother had saved 30 steps and used my boots!!
The folks straightened him out - temporarily.
One afternoon, dad was plowing a field of Clover. Little brother and I were walking in the plow’s furrow and stomping on field mice seeking new cover. Suddenly, little brother grabbed the leg of his jeans and ran screaming to the house and his mother. When she came out to determine the cause of the ruckus, she told him to release his grip on the jeans. When he did, a dead mouse dropped out!
