That looks like a hoot. I love shooting anything. I’ve fired the .30 cal machine gun, the B.A.R, the Thompson .45 cal, the pig but not the .50 cal M2 machine gun. Man what I wouldn’t give to shoot the M2. Of course I’ve fired many other rifles and handguns but the most fun fun for me is anything full auto. I would hate to have to purchase the ammo for that. LOL Oh yeh, I forgot that I have fired the 20 mm from a test stand. Part of the job as an Aviation Ordnanceman. Man was that fun.

Nice military weapon history you have there brother Gene, I never got to shoot a BAR, Thompson nor a 20mm.
But I did at one time owned a MAC-10 45cal, and it was full auto, better have alot of money to buy the ammo. Lol
On the DMZ Korea, I was the gunner of a fuel 5 ton with a gun ring mount, and every time we were in the field, I had to dismount the M-2 for perimeter security.
In the 82nd I got to shoot the 106 recoilless rifle mounted on a jeep, the 106 has a 50cal spotter gun on it with tracer rounds. The trigger if pushed, it shoots the spotter 50cal, and if you pull, it shoots the 106.
Also, I had the pleasure of shooting the 81mm mortars, the tube then was ribbed, and not like the 81mm today it looks smooth, I wasn't lucky to shoot the 4 deuce mortars.
That's me on the left, mounting the M-2 ring mount on the 5 ton fuel truck.

A few thoughts. That is good firepower. The use of the TRP and distance method would be more efficient. Engaging a tank is suicidal.
