Absolutely. The wonderful Democrats want to expand the voting pool to include those too young to sort out the BS

Lt Col Charlie Brown I think if we want to exclude those who are too young to sort out the BS, we need to RAISE the voting age to about... 85. (Based on current voting trends.)

That might have been the snarkiest and most cynical article I have read in a long time.
There are a lot of reasons why 18 is the correct voting age and nefarious motives behind changing it to 16. But I think one can make a cogent argument for or against without resorting to so much snark the message gets lost.
The only people buying what the author is selling already agreed with him before reading.

I don't believe that teens should have the right to vote. Their brains won't be fully developed; until they are twenty-five years of age. I do not believe that teens are mature enough to vote. SGT (Join to see)

SPC Margaret Higgins You make a good point! Given that people brains aren't fully developed until 25 - should we increase the age that people must be before they can make these kinds of decisions? Maybe we could change the age of more things to 25, such as:
Voting
Drinking
Smoking
Gun ownership
Military service
Police service

If we don't think they're fully developed enough to vote, surely they cannot be fully developed enough to decide the life or death fate of another human being. What do you think?

I agree on the teens not voting until they are capable of making their own decisions on important matters that concern them. I just don't see it. Even the parents are immature. I often think these kids will be running (or ruining) this country after I'm long dead.

There are some young adults I have met that seem to be more with it. However, I think the voting age should be way past high school age and maybe even 25. By then, the young adult should have more maturity and life experiences. They should be able to make their own decisions and not base their voting decisions on what their friends are doing.

If they are still living with mommy and daddy at 25 they may be no mature than they were at 13. I live in Peter Pan Land where maturity is at its lowest. I can't very well judge the rest of the country, but I have lived in many different states and this one is the worst. I think it is mostly the males not the females who lack maturity with this young generation. The males want to be cool while the females are getting smarter. I'm glad I'm not young anymore.
