What is ironic is Trump is helping the Chinese extend its economic footprint by partnering with a Chinese firm to develop Indonesia. China is courting European countries for ports, infrastructure, and economic reasons, and Russians have bought a ton of properties from Trump Corporation.

It's been "real" for 70 years now. It was the primary block against Russian expansion. Without it, the world would look much different.
