Just don’t know what to say! There are probably a dozen hospitals in the area that will gladly operate. In a few years she will be suing because they operated on her to make her a man.

SSgt Addison R. this is why identity politics disgusts me. One wackadoodle does not speak for everyone of a group that they claim membership in. We are all individuals and should be judged based on our own individual merits. This kind of polarizing behavior hurts us all. We are so much more than our race, gender, sexuality, religion etc...

It seems to Me not just for religious ground but also different hospital specialize in different areas of medicine. It would seen to be more reasonable to seek out a facility that is equipped to to handle certain types of operations and have people who are skilled in that specific area. Why would anyone even seek out a facility that does handle that type of operation when other places will ?

Unfortunately, I think it is just to make a case and to harass people for their views. This feels a lot like the Christian baker case...when there were many bakeries who would make that cake, let's pick the one who objects and try to force them.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - It sure sounds that way and why would people make things more difficult than they have to be when there are other places. It would seem also a medical facility that specializes in a specific area of surgery would be better for the patient anyway.

(IMHO). The ACLU and the client are doing this to set a precedent.
The hospital if they can’t get out of this will have to search and find the right specialist(s) to carry out the surgery. And the hotels, motels will Need to be ready to handle the media.. that’s insignificant.. The main point it is violating the hospital’s religious tenets.. .

YesLt Col Charlie Brown, all they are doing is trying to set a precedent.. only because they know it’s against the tenets of the hospital...

Seems clearly politically motivated to me. In the state of California there are probably hundreds of hospitals that would actively seek out this type of business. Why go to the one that is not comfortable with this procedure for the stated reasons?
