Deadly Red Flag Bill Being Heard In U.S. Senate On March 26

Knowing that your neighbor can just call and say you're a threat for no reason should scare all of us. The bill seems legit on the surface but it is ripe for abuse.

I don't know. If you are a knucklehead that flashes your weapons and threatens your neighbors, I don't have a problem with the cops paying you a visit and making a judgment call.
The real issue here is Due Process. It should not be arbitrary for firearms to be taken away. Some form of judicial or medical process should occur to make the determination that a person is unsound to have a weapon. The problem with these laws that I have seen is they short circuit that process in order to get weapons out of "dangerous hands" quickly, then make it difficult and expensive to "prove" that you are of sound mind and get your weapons back.
It isn't the 2d Amendment under attack here, it is the 5th.
