An important topic. Some of the suggested "fixes", I don't agree with. Children get curious about things that they don't see everyday. What good is a defensive gun if you have to jump through hoops in 5 seconds to retrieve and load it.

Our kids always knew about weapons and that they were not supposed to handle them. Putting multiple locks on them defeats the purpose...you can't get to it when you need it.
However, when a five year old can get to a loaded gun, you definitely are doing something wrong!
