Lt Col Charlie Brown - That is an example of number one and is certainly wrong. Example of number was when I was threatened being reported to personnel because I told a women she looked prettier when she smiled.

My favorite is the female preacher who accused her fellow ministers of many counts of sexual harassment. When I read her accusation she included unwanted looks as harassment. I suppose they could be if they are drastically out of hand. But, I don't see looking at a female to be harassment.

Capt (Join to see) nor do I as long a you are looking at my face and not my private parts when I am in conversation with you. That got someone a knee to their parts.

Capt (Join to see) - I’d recommend that if you wouldn’t say something to a man, then don’t say it to a woman and you should be fine. Would you tell a man that he looks prettier when he smiles?

This is a very real issue at the VA and seems to vary by facility. Female veterans are absolutely equal to male veterans, if anything their care demands more from the VA due to their female issues that we males do not have. There should not be any struggle. If any VA employee treats a female veteran negatively just because of their sex, then that employee needs to be given their final check and a pink slip. The VA is an organization solely for veterans irregardless of any descriptor.

I have noticed VA hospitals with rotten leadership will make the organization rotten.

More specifics on just who it is doing the harassment, employees or fellow veterans. Difficult to believe a retired O-4 wouldn’t know how to manage this situations. If formal complaints are filed, there should be action taken immediately.

MCPO Roger Collins no idea if they do. I know they receive Tricare. It is tiring after almost 30 years is service to be treated like I’m a spouse though... I bet that’s never happened to you.

MCPO Roger Collins here’s one. I signed up for all notices from the VA but happened to see the previous one about TX.

Col (Join to see) A COL. that doesn’t know if the VA treats the spouse of a veteran, male or female? Your comment is a bit strange.

Col (Join to see) Not disagreeing with the deficiencies, but the harassment accusation. As a MCPO, my respect for rank exists and I have never seen anything like this during my I frequent visits to VA. If true, there are lots of Congress persons that would jump on it.
