Being uniquely qualified doesn't really mean anything in a position such as hers. If she cannot support the strategy/direction it is time to go. That is true of most of us in any of our jobs.

There was nothing in the article that lead me to believe she was so special she could not be replaced.

As much crap as the Air Force has taken since President Bush 43 was in Office where they cut the Air Force and Navy so drastically mid term career service members had to transfer into the Army. It doesn’t surprise me.

I second that. Many in the time frame that served in the U.S. Air Force thought they were going to be re-joined with the U.S. Army. They used to tell us at Soto-Cano AB in Honduras that eventually they would be small enough to become the U.S. Army Air Corps again. Pre 1935.
