Where Federal law is applicable, it is supposed to supersede state law.

perhaps it's my limited point of view, but it seems that when someone decides to not follow the law from their personal conservative beliefs, they are crazy and wrong. If a leftist violates the law for personal convictions they're a hero. Thinking of "sanctuary" cities/states, state/city laws that violate federal 2A here.

Precedent has been set by the Obama Administration. Marijuana is still illegal under Federal law. When many states made marijuana legal, Obama ordered the DEA not to enforce federal marijuana laws in those states.

Federal immigration laws have been ignored for years by several past administrations. It’s not an uncommon practice for the government to ignore various laws.

SMSgt Thor Merich thanks for reply! While it may be common for laws to be ignored, it’s very problematic. There is no legitimate checks and balances when the govt doesn’t act right. Can you remind them all to straighten up and fly right?

SMSgt Thor Merich I think the common and prolonged history of govt not following their own rules is a major factor in 45 being elected. If that’s true, it explains both sides negative reactions.
