Seems this got a lot of traction on RP! This is at least the 3rd one I’ve seen.

Even though he acknowledges it, there is no excuse. He is a 4-star General, not a e-1 Private or O-1 2nd LT. He his responsible for his uniform even though he has aides to get his uniform "squared away" What would have happened if an enlisted soldier did that? if that enlisted soldier apologizes, would that be it? I think not. I think some kind of punishment (ART 15) should bestowed onto the General for the disrespect he shown to the Commander and Chief, President Tump.

Anyone can miss something they see all the time. The people who missed my lack of collar insignia were myself, my supervisor, the NCIOC, the superintendent, and all three on the below the zone promotion board. The only one to catch it was the A1C who received us outside the board and she couldn't say anything until after my time with the board. Oh and I got the stripe ;)

TSgt Denise Moody - Congrats on your strip, however I think you are missing the point. Bottom line is you are responsible for your uniform not others. The General been in for over 25+ yrs and when he put on his coat (in my day we called it the Class A Jacket) it is his responsibility to make sure everything is according to regulations. Now, I know he has aids that probably sets up his uniform, but he is responsible to make sure it is correct. For him to apologize is showing he is taking the responsibility. However, it should never had happened. This brings back my two original questions, what would you think would happen if an enlisted soldier or a junior officer did that at the State of the Union address?

SSG Brian MacBain - If someone noticed they would be counseled on proper wear of the uniform. But my point is shit happens. It doesn't matter what the pay grade is.

TSgt Denise Moody - Yes, shit happens, you would expect that from lower enlisted or a junior officer, but not a from a 4-Star General attending the State of the Union address. I am glad he had apologized, however, I stand what I said before, the wearer (no matter what your rank is) is responsible for his/her uniform period. If a General cannot determine that his ribbons was upside down, suggest an eye test.
