Bio
I grew up in Connecticut and served in the Army for 20yrs. I retired from the Army in June 2006. I been married since 1992 and have two boys, Andrew and Benjamin. My two GSDs had past away and now have a Pit/Lab mix. My hobbies are walking my dog, going to the gun range, and enjoying time with my family. I also volunteer at a senior dog rescue call Second Chance Ranch.

Section Sergeant
Was the Section SGT that handled all adhoc requests coming in from down range (IZ-AF). Our section was a 24/7 shop. I retired after two years of being there.

Squad Leader
A PLT SGT and Squad Leader to an ARL unit. Responsible for forty soldiers. At times, when I was the Squad leader (I was the senior SSG in the company) and the 1SG and PLT was gone, I was the acting 1SG.

Platoon Sergeant
As an SSG, was pick over eight SFC's as PLT SGT. I was responsible for 100 soldiers from ranks SPC's to MSG's. To include officers 2LT to COL's. This was a unique position in this unit. While not doing PLT SGT duties, I also review Army Regulations before they are published to make comments/suggestions to make it better.

My responsibilities included of being the Cadre PLT SGT for my class. Instruct SGT's and SSG's on Common Core Basic soldiers skills (ie, Leadership, counseling, PT, etc) and MOS specific skills that are required to get promoted to SSG.

Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) - Afghanistan
I was in Kuwait not Afghanistan during this timeframe supporting OEF. I was assigned to Joint Task Force Consequence Management (JTFCM) at Camp Doha which involves Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines along with Germans and Czech NBC units. We were the military version of FEMA.
