Either the Supreme Court is going to be very busy with 2A cases, or they will issue a preemptive decision in the NJ case, upcoming, that defines infringement and nullifies a lot of Laws currently on the Books. I'm hoping it's door number 2.

You can still buy “new” semi-autos in California. The law is very confusing as what is a “new” gun. For example, Glock Gen 4 and 5 cannot be sold “new” by a gun dealer in Calif (except to LE). But they are legal to possess and buy used. Or you can buy them out of state and/or online. You can buy older Gen Glocks “new” though. It’s a stupid law that is enforced by no one.
