Does that right to enjoy life include the right to health insurance that won't refuse to insure a child based on pre-existing conditions or exponentially increase health insurance premiums or terminate insurance based on reaching a "maximum" payout based on pre-existing conditions?

SCPO Morris Ramsey - If your child is born with a birth defect which results in a disability, then the child is considered to have a pre-existing condition upon which health insurance can be denied. Mr. Cruz has no problems with that issue at all. In fact, he has signed on to legislation and voted for legislation that would strip the language from ACA which didn't allow health insurance companies to deny/jack up the price/limit the payouts for persons with pre-existing conditions.
I wasn't talking about abortion but about those children who are born with disabilities. Refusing to provide health care insurance for children born with a disability because that is a pre-existing condition can certainly lead to an earlier death.

As a Shriner and as a police officer, I’ve seen children in the most dire of handicapped conditions, mental and/or physical. Challenged does not Ben begin to describe their stay in life. In such circumstances, I often hear people, Christians people, say, “There but for the grace of God go I.” And I go ballistic. God graced you with your so-called healthy life, and yet He decided to bless this or that child more infirmities than you can list. I want no part of any God who rules his earthly Kingdom that way. No, I cannot fathom how that is a part of any kind of Divine plan.
