Ten months and fourteen days during the years 1966-67 will only fade away with my passing but the Bond is forever

yes some of us still see those at night when Charlie was most active. I spent my 19th Birthday in Qui Nhon Vietnam with Fox 2nd Battalion 7th Marines 3rd Marine Division REIN 1965. That really hit home for me.

My dad was a corpsman attached to a Marine unit. There are things that he probably will never talk about. I feel honored though when he shares something with me. I remember how afraid I was of him when I was little. Not because he was ever cruel to us. Like, one specific memory I have is my brother and I were fighting in the living room and my parents were in the kitchen having coffee at the table. All of a sudden he slammed his hand down onto the table so hard I swear I could feel the floor shake from it. His voice boomed "shut up! Just shut the f**k up for one GD minute!" He became an over the road truck driver shortly after coming home because A. nobody would hire him and B. when he was able to get a job he couldn't keep it. He just couldn't cope with people. He actually continued to drive truck until he had to retire a couple years earlier than retirement age. The pain in his legs from the arteriosclerosis and the diabetes. All from agent orange.

It was very hard when we came home dealing with ID10t's because we were young they thought they knew so much more then us. It was very hard to settle for long always on the move one way or another. If your Dad is still with us Tell him I said Thanks Doc.
