The Winter War (1939-40)

Say what ever you want, the Finns, soldier for soldier took the Soviets to task when Stalin ordered an invasion of Finland. the Finns didn't win, but the Soviets losses were staggering. One battle had over 40,000 Soviet dead, for which the Russians never told their people how bad they lost. Stalin was ruthless and was only concerned with one thing, winning. Nothing including his troops mattered.
