Shutdown halts civil court cases — including those against Trump

When your a multi-millionaire or higher, your lawyers handle the civil cases including getting you excused from having to appear in court at all. So likewise, I don't think any lawsuits would bother Donald Trump. Also, as we saw with Stormy Daniels Trump counter-sues for court + lawyer costs if he wins the case. Which he really has to do otherwise more people would be taking the Wheel of Fortune for a spin.

I don't think he cares much about the court cases. He has a large legal staff. Congress didn't even send him a budget to sign or reject so technically, he isn't even the one who closed the government
