LTC (Join to see) - do I get triggered much? No. But it’s generally true that when a person is presented with common sense (see video) that they can’t really explain, they simply dish out ‘clever’ (not clever) comments.
Further, it’s generally true that when a person is asked a question they don’t have a good answer for, they generally deflect in a bunch of different ways. A tried and true method is to answer a question with a question.

But, I’ll still answer your question. Some will, some won’t. I don’t think the majority of Natural born US citizens obey US laws. People are inherently violent. Big newsflash. But for any statistic that shows mass spikes in crime rates by illegals, there are just as many statistics that show the opposite.

So back to the question you didn’t/can’t answer. I don’t want illegal immigration any more than you do. But a wall isn’t gonna do it. Especially dumping billions into a wall that will never get finished. But say magically, a big wall was dropped into place tomorrow. We don’t have enough people on the border to monitor it now. We won’t have enough people tomorrow. And people can still get up and over it. I’d bet just about anything that there are cartel-funded engineers designing deeper, longer tunnels to defeat any wall that magically pops up.

But the clever types (you) have apparently been sold on the idea that a border wall is THE solution to border security. And f*ck anyone who thinks otherwise. Because if they don’t like the wall, they obviously must like illegal immigration. That’s fake news. And it’s unfortunate.

Divide and conquer, right? If there’s one thing this administration is good at, it’s sowing division amongst the people. Anyway, if you could answer the original question, that’d be great.

When the majority of natural-born US citizens watch liberal judges keep releasing violent criminals again and again and again on their own recognizance, when they see drugged/drunk drivers with their 15th DUI get released with time served after wiping out an innocent family of four on their way to the grocery store - please tell us why the majority of us should obey some stupid law limiting the number of rounds a rifle magazine should hold. The ultimate goal of the government is to make criminals out of all of us anyway.

CDR Dan Cunningham - right on. Which is why the government doesn’t prosecute companies that employ illegal immigrants. Everyone’s gotta make that money while we’re being turned into criminals.

But if you can explain how an obstacle course-style wall would be more effective in curbing illegal immigration than prosecuting the criminals who provide the financial demand, please do so.

Another good question that went ignored/unanswered was Why do folks seem to vehemently argue the stance along the lines of ‘if you don’t want a wall, you obviously don’t care about security or illegal immigrants?’.

I'm aware of that. Of course, that is after they break the law an get on the government sugar nipple, or go to a Hospital and get their Tuberculosis reviewed by an RN who is now exposed. Multiply that by 10s of thousands, name your disease, and you have increased government. An attack on culture for sure.

Cpl Mark A. Morris - it’s funny you mention expertise, because actually yes, I am. I could rattle off my education, or where I’ve taught, but as I suspect you wouldn’t care, all I can do is continue to demonstrate my knowledge by providing you with the correct information.

You are obviously not an expert on the Constitution or with the oath that the President takes. Article II of the Constitution clearly states, “Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:-"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

He takes an oath to defend the Constitution. That said, I don’t like illegal immigration any more than you do. However, a wall that will waste billions, never get completed, and most importantly, not stop illegal immigration isn’t protecting Americans or the Constitution.

Now here’s a better idea. You want to really put a dent in illegal immigration? Punish businesses that employ illegal immigrants. Restaurants and Contractors (for starters) will be subjected to random, physical audits of their payroll and workplaces to help ensure compliance. First offense, $5 million per illegal. Second offense, $10 million. Third offense, business closure.

Illegals come here mainly for better economic opportunity. If there’s no demand for their services, the supply would dry up rather quickly. But no one wants to talk about the American criminals...yes criminals... that employ illegal immigrants. Because that would be an actual attack on our culture. The hard truth is that illegals are willing to work and do jobs that the majority of Americans aren’t. Most Americans aren’t going to work a non-union job for minimum wage (or lower) from sun up til sun down (or longer). Until that changes, we can build walls, moats, minefields or anything else, and it won’t work.

Because I made absolutely none of those arguments, directly, implied or otherwise.

As you apparently missed the point, allow me to summarize. In my last response, the point was that as opposed to a wall, a more effective way to combat illegal immigration would be to prosecute the criminals in the US that enable it. (known as ‘lowering crime’). As the financial demand for illegal immigrants dropped, so would the supply of illegal immigrants. (Also known as ‘lowering crime’). When I stated that no one wants to discuss that as an option, “Because that would be an actual attack on our culture”, the point was that too many Americans profit from illegal immigration to actually want to see it stop.

Like the poor, the uneducated are pawns in a larger agenda. But, tell me more about the
Presidential oath.
