I had a Walther P-88, it was a fine quality handgun. It has an interesting story, I sold it to another cop in the 80's, and his house was burglarized in the 90's, and the handgun was stolen.
He gave up on the P-88, until one day 23 years later, he was contacted by ATF.
He was asked if he owned a P88, he said yes, and he was told they had handgun in Japan, and was used in a robbery. When asked if he wanted it back he said no, he didn't want it.
After being stolen for 28 years, he again was contacted, but this time it was the FBI, asking if he wanted the P-88 back, in which he said he'll take it back, and he told the FBI he knew that the handgun was used in a robbery in Japan. The FBI agent then told him that the gun was used in the killing of two Yakuzas in a mafia war. Lol
He got the P-88 back and still has it today, he's now retired from the police department and works as a reserve police officer in the police armory.
Maybe he'll sell it back to me.
