Former decorated Green Beret, after years of investigations, charged in death of suspected...

I call B.S. on this! Recently, I have had close to 25 young men and women - high school and college age who have now reconsidered their position to join the military or ROTC because of this story and the story about the Navy SEAL who killed the ISIS fighter.

It seems as if our Arm Chair Quarterback leaders who never really left the wire are judging Generation X fighters who have been doing the real fighting and leading in the past two wars in a vindictive manner. I have to ask... if you serve 20 or more years in uniform without a stain on your uniform from combat - then what the hell are you doing judging or even leaders our Warriors today?

You cannot send young men into battle and expect them to act as Police Officers hoping they will find the enemy and read them their rights. We send men to battle to kill the enemy, destroy the enemy, and ensure that the enemy of today does not live or grow to become an even bigger threat tomorrow that we must send another generation to do what our leaders failed to do today. I hope to raise my son to protect our country from future threats, and not burden him with having to fight an enemy we should have killed in battle more than a decade ago.

If the Boomer Generation has lost the will to fight, then please find a rocking chair and retire, and let Generation X continue destroying our enemies, protecting and defending our nation, and training the Millenials and future generations the right way to fight, and how to lead, and how to stand by and support those we send into battle. This Major should be given back his Silver Star, his Special Forces tab, and promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and placed in charge of a Special Forces Unit. If I were the Commander-in-Chief, I would shit-can the General who admonished this young officer and order Army CID to stand down on this investigation... We Do Not Investigate Warriors Who Are Sent to Kill the Enemy - and then do their jobs and complete the mission by Killing the Enemy! Instead, we reward them and promote them!

Please join me in sending letters to our Congressional Officials and the President in asking that this Soldier and the SEAL be exonerated and cleared of all charges, immediately reinstated to full duty with forthcoming promotions, positions, awards - or allowed to retire with full benefits at full rank without further delay. Anything less then I feel the repercussions of these kinds of stories only embolden our enemies and weaken our forces - and cause our young leaders and fighters on the battlefield to question their judgment our of fear of what some armchair General or Admiral might do to harm their careers. Do not let the politics of the day or politicians in uniform pretending to be in the military dictate the fighting spirit of our Warriors!

Update... President Trump announced on Twitter that he will be looking into this matter as the senior military official - as Commander-in-Chief to determine why this American Hero is being charged with a crime for killing a Taliban terrorist bombmaker in a time of war, and why was this Soldier's DSC, Silver Star, and Special Forces tab removed by some arm chair quarterback General.

I have a feeling that Baby Boomer toxic leaders / micromanagers / non-fighting glorified pencil pushers who don't measure up to the Mad Dog are getting ready to get shirt-canned finally. Time for Boomers to get out of the way, most of them have no fighting experience and were lucky to skate by their entire careers without going into battle and by the time Iraq and Afghanistan happened, they were Senior officers who rarely left the wire - and if they did, they didn't leave to fight.

Therefore, it is Generation X who now has more combat experience and leadership experience - so let us fighters stop being judged by those who don't even know how to fight and who are merely paper soldiers (meaning they look good only on paper because of the over inflated performance records mainly in a garrison environment).

Boomers too often pat each other on the ass and give each other awards and commendations meant for heroism, while denying Generation X - those who have done the real sacrificing and fighting the awards and recognition they truly deserve, because they know Generation X Soldiers not only outshine them - but they outperform them in every single factor in leadership, tactics, combat experience, physical fitness, academics, and training standards.

Most Boomers are too concerned about the politics of the day and worried about making the next rank. Generation X just wants to do the job they volunteered to do, and be provided the necessary and right resources - along with support from their leaders to accomplish the mission... and more importantly they don't want to be micromanaged or forced to work in a toxic leadership environment.

Glad to see the Commander-in-Chief weighing in. I am certain this Green Beret and the Navy SEAL who killed the ISIS fighter will be vindicated soon! Keep up the pressure guys and keep sending Congress and POTUS your messagebof support for these two heroes!

Also, if some arm chair quarterback Boomer ever says they are going to remove an award or tab from your file, tell them to come and try to take it off your uniform... I doubt they would be man enough to do that (and if they attempt to do and violate your personal space and offensively attempt touch you, then issue a quick reality check stern enough to snatch the soul out of them) - at least at that point the outdated crusty Boomer would be given the chance to come and face you and look you in the eye instead of hiding behind a computer while tarnishing your career and all that you have worked hard to achieve and have fought for. We are Soldiers - not slaves... I did not sign away my manhood when I enlisted or swore an oath upon my commissioning ceremony. I volunteered to fight and die if necessary for my country, and to lead and take care of Soldiers - I don't remember anything in my enlistment or oath saying I agreed to be abused by senior officials! I seriously doubt any Boomer would want to tangle in with a Generation X Soldier - especially when we are taking a stand against injustice and refusing to become a victim to their intolerable behavior! We are Warriors - not Wimps!
