I was just reading about shipping of ammo to individuals in CA. They of plenty of laws !

I’m reading it and I think you have to get a license to purchase ammunition. I bet they will track all purchases and limit total quantity you can purchase in a given month.

The biggest change is that folks cannot buy ammo via the internet any more. The next biggest change is that you have to be “registered” to purchase ammo from a dealer.

However, I know many folks that are just driving to Nevada or Arizona and purchasing ammo there. While it’s technically illegal to bring in out of state ammo, California hasn’t created the “ammo police” and the highway patrol is busy with speeders and traffic accidents. So there is nothing being done to stop folks from getting their ammo out of state.

The interesting thing with California is that they create a ton of new laws but they don’t fund the enforcement of said laws. So they just get ignored by both the citizens and the police. But it makes the politicians in Sacramento feel better.
