Trump Moves to Deport Vietnam War Refugees

Committing a crime is and should be grounds to deport legal (and illegal) residents (i.e. non-citizens). I have no problem with them serving time first and I doubt anyone is suggesting otherwise. Once they serve out their time, send them back to their country of origin.

Yes. Read the "freaking" article. Frankly it's not so simple. Quoting the article: "Many pre-1995 arrivals, all of whom were previously protected under the 2008 agreement by both the administrations of Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, were refugees from the Vietnam War. Some are the children of those who once allied with American and South Vietnamese forces, an attribute that renders them undesirable to the current regime in Hanoi, which imputes anti-regime beliefs to the children of those who opposed North Vietnam. This anti-Communist constituency includes minorities such as the children of the American-allied Montagnards, who are persecuted in Vietnam for both their ethnicity and Christian religion."
We, the USA that is, allowed them into this country. Those who came, legally, pre-1995, have been in the United States a minimum of 25 years. Some were children when they arrived. Some may have been "boat people" refugees. Pre-1995, with no diplomatic relationship with Vietnam, they had no country. As to those that committed crimes, our judicial system can, and likely has, adequately deal with that.
Betrayal? Yes in my opinion. What does deportation accomplish? This is their home and our military action had direct cause of their coming here.

How is his political leaning a betrayal to anything. He posted the article and YOU can critical think for YOURSELF.
