First you can never trust North Korea. Second, things take time, especially since there is trust issues on both sides. Third, President Trump has meet with Kim something that no other US President has ever done. Finally, you can never trust North Korea.

Right, and I am not sure if we all remember just how evil evil north korea really is. They have a gruesome history of experimenting on their own people (chemical, biological weapons) and worse i am sure. And now they're playing tickle the Dragon. Not good.

Brad Powers yes, thank you for reminding us, and we all know that Kim Jong un's uncle was put on trial and killed with an anti-aircraft gun as part of an example of not even thinking about doing a government overthrow.

LTC (Join to see) also I thought his uncle was killed in a very direct chemical attack at an airport. I know damn well I could be wrong but also I thought that the men killed with anti-aircraft were top officials. I think one of them fell asleep at a meeting.

I would prefer a peaceful nuclear disarmament of North Korea, but if that can't be obtained, then I am in favor of our government finding a way to remove the Kim dynasty from North Korea. He goes or the nukes go. I don't mean regime change shades of 2003; but one way or another, the North's nukes need to go away. All it takes right now is for Kim Jong Un to have a bad day. That's not acceptable. I don't trust deterrence for this.

Great idea in theory, but China is still a reluctant ally with North Korea. The PRC wants regime stability because they are still afraid of collapse. They would unhappily protect Kim in order to prevent NK refugee trickle into PRC turning into flood or losing a buffer zone from US military presence in South Korea.
