Hopefully, the leaders will maintain themselves and their soldiers' and ensure the ROE is followed. This sort of reminds me of the Cuban Missle Crisis. One slip of the finger could result in devastating events.

I'm sure they will. There's too much at stake in terms of public opinon and UCMJ if something goes wrong. Looking that the deploying units and the existing laws around the use of the military, I doubt many armed soldiers will even come in contact with these dislocated civilians. Of those who do, the chances of them encountering ones with ill intent are slim. And if they do, there will probably be law enforcement with jurisdiction and training in terms of dealing with migrants who will hopefully handle it first.

Force used should be proportional to the threat. Rock throwing should not be a major threat if our troops are properly equipped. However, some of the people in the caravan are undoubtedly bad actors and may resort to using other more deadly weapons. Democrat leadership would like nothing better than to have an incident that they could use against the Trump administration. It is on the Democratic Party leadership that this is happening, all for the sake of votes and power-sad!! We need to take care of our own poor, veterans, and disabled first!
