Trump didn't mention the suspicious package sent to CNN — who he frequently brands as "fake news" during his campaign rallies — which caused the cable network's New York bureau to be evacuated on Wednesday.
The comments from Trump seemingly faulting the media for the spate of suspicious packages being investigate by federal authorities comes a week after the president appeared to praise a fellow Republican who assaulted a journalist last year.
At a rally last week, Trump praised Rep. Greg Gianforte, R-Mont., who pleaded guilty last year to misdemeanor assault of a reporter who was attempting to ask him a question about health care.
"Any guy who can do a bodyslam, he's my kinda guy," Trump said, mimicking throwing a person on the ground.

Not sure who is behind this but I blame the politicians who seem to encourage violence and disruption as long as it isn't against them.

Talking trash is one thing, but these acts of violence have gone too far and need to stop. I hope the people behind it are caught and punished.

These acts of Violence have no place in the United States against anyone ever ! Violence against people should never be encouraged in any manner. Fear through intimidation, suppressing others views and basic freedoms is another form terrorism and be it left or right is 100% wrong ! Elected or appointed officials need to watch very carefully what they say in the public arena and not encourage these sort of things. Expressing an opinion on issues is one thing, encouraging unlawful behavior even it it wasn't the intent is quite another.
