Whats he gonna do??? Sit in the oval office and watch it like the rest of us? He can't do anything until the governors of the states ask him to by law. What's the difference of him being at a rally or in front of a TV??? None. Sometimes, presidential visits can get in the way of emergency response, doing more harm than good. Obama did it, Bush did it...this isn't something new. Fromt he article in the link below it stated "That's why Obama won't break off his vacation in Martha's Vineyard — or stop playing golf on said vacation — to travel to Louisiana. Because he believes he can monitor the situation as well — or better — from where he is. And that the sole reason to go to Louisiana is for the theatrical piece of politics, a piece that he not only rejects but detests."

The National Guard and FEMA were put on notice days in advance. Is he supposed to go stand in front of the hurricane and shout at it to stop? Come on now..
